Writer's Block: Your First Record

AC/DC Back in Black is the first one I recall buying. Just had to have that album, yes album not cd. Could be worse I recall having an 8- track given to me as a gift for my birthday before AC/DC. It was one of Pat Benetar and the other one was Cyndi Lauper. Still love all of that music along with a wider range now. Older I get more I love sappy country. Always loved southern rock but not it is heading towards the songs that are slower and make ya cry over missing something or someone.

I have orientation tomorrow at 8:30 am.I'm really looking forward to it.I need to get back to work. Have many plans made but without money can't fulfill them. First dream is to get a motorcycle. Can getthat right after we get a little outof debt. Should not take more than 6 months. Also having 6 months of employment should able to get a loan for a nice bike. The price of gas this is a can not loose idea. This way when we want to go anywhere we can afford to. So many things close by. also in 6 months Bud should be feeling up to going more places.

also have another place call me today for interview on Wednesday. This job is to work in an office. Going to the interview at least. I figured it doesn't hurt to go to interview to see what they have to offer.

First can't live without water. I love water, spring water. My well water at home is so fresh. Love it cold.

Can't live without cheese. All kinds. From a slice of American cheese to cheese sticks.I try to put cheese on almost everything I eat if I could.

I'm also a bread person. Plain flattened awesome. Also flovored breads are good. If I go to Walmarts and buy the hot just made french bread I swear half would be gone before I got home. Just love the taste of bread.

Refuse to eat dolphin, liver, or veal. Not really a meat eater anyhow. Do love Bambi and gravy when cooked right.
Love anything from the garden. Had so far this year watermelons...so fresh and juicy. Also tomatoes, corn (three kinds I think) okra, cucumbers, eggplant and green peppers. More green peppers on their way along with white eggplant.

Writer's Block: Your Dream Dinner

If I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive I would pick Bud. If money was no object I would take him to Germany. He was stationed there in the Army. I would love to be able to take him back there to see how it is now. Also to recall good memories of the place.

I asked him this question he answered he would take me to Italy for dinner. He said if he had the money he would really take me there. I believe he would too. I told him the thought is what counts. I think it is the nicest thing he could say.

Writer's Block: Dreams

I've had this reoccuring dream for two years now. In my dream I was going home. I left Alabama two years ago. I left my heart there but the rest of me left. Since I left I would have this dream. One was me coming here to pick up Bud and bring him to Florida where I was. the dream I had the most was me coming home and buidling a home on Bud's land for him. This two bedroom log cabin home. Way in the back. Funny his home now is way in teh back, I was dreaming of the home being back here before I even knew he moved it back there. Since I've come home my dream has stopped. Guess my mind was telling me I was home sick and to come home. There is no place like home.

I have a small birthmark on my arm. When I was younger my parents and grandparents would try and rub it off. They thought it was a dirt mark. I would have to tell them its not dirt. Then they would recall it's not. It is located on the inside of my right arm near my elbow. And yes it does look like dirt. Could be worse.

This morning I chatted with the police dept in Florida. They confirmed my ex never divorced his last wife. So that makes our marriage null and void. The next step is in their hands. They are sending me paperwork of their findings. The police officer's boss has to decide if they press charges or not agains him. They also found bad checks charges against him as well. So they are searching for him. That's out of my hands. I can now close that chapter of my book of life and go on. Just shows me how mean a person can be to another person.

Good news for today I think I found a job. They are even willing to pay me while I'm in school.Low pay at first but after school I will get paid better. Also offering 10 hour shifts. that will help on gas. Driving less to town. The truck takes allot of gas. Just thankful /bud is letting me use his while I get on my feet and get us an economy car to both use.

Life is peaceful and my heart is happy through all the junk. Guess it shows me home is where yoru heart

Having a strong faith in God gives me my hope. Without faith I would not be able to see any hope. My wishes, hopes and dreams all come from my faith. As far as future all I or anyone can do is take a day at a time. I keep searching for good in all and stay focused on positive.

Writer's Block: Where your memories began.

My earliest memory is sitting in a stack of tires on the inside of a racetrack. My dad would take me to the races every weekend to help out a friend of his race. I loved sitting in middle of tires. The first memory I think I was about 5. Still love racing. Maybe not sitting in tires but sure do love driving.

Today we went the other way. We went to Elberta. Cute little town from what I saw. Looked like we went downtown to the main strip. Bud had to go there today. So I tagged along and took photos of course. some came out kinda cool. Allot of farm areas. Mostly lots of open space and a house in the middle.

I love the full trees.

Isn't this a cute looking town?                                                          Was told there is soybeans growing out here.

I've had so much fresh food in the last week than I have had all of last year. Fresh from garden tomatoes, green peppers, squash, zucini and peas......thinking they were black eyed peas. They were sooo good too. Linda made them. They had a juice with oinions and a meat in it.. Also she made corn bread... I was in heaven eating that bowl of good food.Bud took the squash, added onions and peppers and we cooked them in skillet...they were awesome too. I took the green peppers and added onions, mushrooms and konech sausage(if you ever this way and see that brand ya have to buy it..so good) put all that in a pita pocket with a slice of cheese. melted it..yum that was good too. Sure do eat well here. Today we had breaded zucini and breaded squash. yum yum.

Was out and about with Bud and we ran into a storm so I had to take photos of the clouds coming in.

I thought they were cool looking. The blue ones I got creative Bud said. Was using the window to change the color some.

After these were taken it rained on way home really hard. These were taken on way to Fairhope but I think we were still in Robertsdale AL.

Today we went to Mobile for a doc appt for Bud. Seemed to have went well. After on way home stopped at Waffle House for some breakfast. Still full and it has been all day.

Bud has a way of making every female he has contact with feel special. The nurse practictioner came in was business like for a few. After talking with Bud she was smiles and giggles. She asked if he used his breathing machine at night. He stated," It sits right next to my bed." She just laughed so hard. He called her "sugar." She smiled. Then while trying to get back up she ran over to try and help him up. She might have been 100 lbs wet. She was a cute as can be.

At Waffle House he made the two waitresses feel good. I'm telling ya everyone around him he just makes them feel as if the are special. No matter who they are. That is a gift.

I'm so honored he is my best friend. Picked a watermelon today. Sweet...I mean sweet. Was so good...He has several out in teh garden aout ready to pick. Just in time for the 4th. Also found a few green pappers. Going to put them in with onions and konech sausage..yum yum. Thats good eating I think. Also eat the rest of the squash we cooked up yesterday.

Last night we went shrimping. The sunset was spectacular. It was cloudy too. The colors were indescribable. I took over 70 photos last night alone. The photos are very pretty but do not show justice for how beatuiful the sun was. As soon as the sun was almost down the moon came up. It was as pretty as the sun. Full, bright and showing off to the fullest.

Bud made a joke about sea snakes. That they hide  behind a shrimp and to be careful. It scared me. Of course mention a snake and I can not breathe. He doesn't know how much I am afraid of a snake.

When it came time to pick out the shrimp from the other stuff that came up I was terrified. Bud picked them out with me.If that happened with anyone else I would NEVER of even touched the shrimp again. But I do trust him, fully. So I picked out shrimp. Even touched one of the huge ones. I mean they are the granddaddy of them all. I kept saying to myself," Bud would never have me do anything that would hurt me." That is a fact.

I'm glad I didn't give up. He did ask me to bring a fish back down to the water and I chickened out after we got off the boat. I did do allot I have never done before and for that I am proud of myself.

Also, our home is getting cleaner.

I don't think Bud fully understands I have never done anything like this in my life. It's a downfall growing up in the suburbs. Do not fit in the city and dont fit in the country. Not unless someone is willing to show you and you are willing to learn. I am ready to learn.

Today I went shrimping. First time ever. Last time I was on a boat was when I was 10. To me it was an adventure of a lifetime. They had fun as well but they are use to such activities. I'm still in shock the things I had acomplished today. Held the shrimp in my hand. Cleaned the shrimp(off with their heads) Amazing.

Saw creatures that are undescribable. Sting rays, ugly looking catfish. they looked mean tome. Crabs of all sizes. Also the dolphins..wow so peaceful. They followed the nets. Was told there is an albino dolphin in that area but I didnt see it today.

Had so much funtoday.... I'm going again tonight to do more shrimp fishing with them.  What a great day. I can honestly say, I am happy and content. Like I said before it is the start of a whole new life for me

PS also something that may seem smal to many but huge to me.. I picked corn on the cob today. Brought it home cleaned, cooked and ate. Yum Yum. Doesn't get any fresher than that does it. First time for lots of things today. Glad I got to do all this with my best friend ever in the world. First person I totally trust to never hurt me. I've known my best friend for the last 8 years..proudly too.

Shrimp Season Opens Today

This morning they opened shrimp season. So by 6 am we were on the water..waiting to shrimp. I have never been shrimping in my life or ever thought I would go one day. The last time I was on a boat was when I was about 10 when my daddy took me for a ride.

This was different. This was a pontoon boat. Was so nice to ride in. Had lots of space to walk around in when wanting to stretch legs. Was amazing to see how to shrimp with a net and a boat. Once the hour was up I felt like I was in a candy store. I could not wait to see what was in the net. They brought that net up and wow full of stuff. I thought it was cool. Yes there was some shrimp. But the other fish stuff was amazing to me.

Then came the sorting part. I'm glad I brought my dish gloves at least. Pick the shrimp out of the mess. Easier said than done. I have not even held the bait to bait my hook when fishing yet alone move fish, crab and stuff out of way to get the shrimp. The first few minutes I couldn't stop laughing. I was so excited.  I couldn't believe what I was doing. After awhile it got easier. They were so nice to me. Didn't laugh at me for not knowing what to do. They showed me how and when they saw I was having trouble they sowed me again a better way without critizing. They were both wonderful. I don't know how many times I said thak you for taking me.

Then came taking the heads off to clean shrimp. That took some doing. I kept saying sorry shrimp gotta do it, you are too good not to eat. By the second load in I started to get quicker at it.

The most amazing creature I saw today. A stingray. And I saw a bunch of them. Yes, I have seen them at the zoo and on tv but this was different. I saw them in the wild in their setting. The two nets last up were full of all sizes of them. Also these cute as hell crabs. Not to forget the dolphins. Incredible how they seize to amaze me.

The loading and unloading the boat was an adventure to me. They did it as if it was a common occurence. That huge boat is attached to trailer only by one hook. That's it. Amazing to me. Also to put the boat in the water you need to drive part of your truck into the water. At least back tires. I was nervous as anything. I thought, "Oh my goodness, the truck is going to go into the water too." But I stayed calm ya know didn't want to look too stupid. But they got the boat in with ease.

About 11 we were ready to come back in. The heat was rough. I was tired and had to use a restroom. Yeh that part, if ya got to go...... they turn the other way and ya go...might not be ready for that part yet...lol

Now it's late afternoon, rested a bit  guess where I'm ready to go? You guessed it I'm going night shrimping just after they get the lights working on boat we are heading back out. This has been a wonderful day.

PS, I also picked corn on the cob today. We picked a few ears for lunch. Never did that before either. Wow fresh can't describe it. Also to come home from where we dropped off boat and truck we borrowed their golf cart with power to come home. That also was fun.

What a great day this is. And teh best part I can share it with my best friend and family I have known for 8 years. Life is great.

If I could invent a cereal it would be one that the cereal stayed sogless through the last bite. Maybe one I could pour juice over instead of milk. I know the non-cereal cereal.
